Word on the Street: N.E.D. Rocks!

June 10, 2015

We love hearing from our audiences and #NEDheads everywhere! Thousands around the country and even around the world have watched No Evidence of Disease, and have a lot to say about how this film has changed their way of thinking about women's health. Here are some of the standout takeaways that we've heard:

“N.E.D. is an incredibly inspiring, saddening, maddening film that shows the realities of gynecological cancers. They are underrepresented, under-researched and yet comprise a set of the most deadly cancers one can be diagnosed with. This film shows how the simplest thing like music can bring attention to a disease, but can also help those going through it feel hope. You need to see it, you need to feel it, and you’ll need a box of tissues.”
— Christel Richard, Falls Church, VA
“Educational, inspirational and heartbreaking. A must see for any woman, because all women need to be aware of their bodies. No woman is exempt from needing to know the information on below the waist cancers.”
— Karen Kools, Winchester, CA
“This is such a powerful film done beautifully. Showing us the humanity, intelligence and great dedication of six truly fabulous talented doctors driven to make a difference with their life’s work.”
— Linda Andrews, Cambridge, MA
“I was diagnosed with the “rare” pre-menopausal stage 3 vulvar cancer this year. I feel isolated and angry about the lack of awareness and the taboos surrounding below-the-belt health. It’s like women’s health is supposed to start and end with the breasts and with the color pink. There needs to be a major shift in perceptions. This movie is an important step.”
— Susan Bergman, Guilford, VT
“Touching and powerful story of hope and dedication. A great call to action for all Gyn Cancer advocates.”
— Jim Crandall, Birmingham, AL
“A wonderful film that should be seen by EVERYONE since we all have mothers, sisters, daughters, and wives who need this information. Also we need our legislators and politicians to see this film desperately, because we need more money allocated for women’s cancer research. We are way overdue for this!”
— Frank Palmeri, Guilderland, NY
“Angels in scrubs!”
— Angela Dilger, West Caldwell, NJ
“N.E.D. is moving, informative, joyous, heartbreaking, and inspiring. It is full of brave women willing to talk openly about their hopes and dreams, their fears and sadness .... and yes, about their vulvas.”
— Katie Hoody, Dallas, TX
“It is so important that women of all ages and situations see this movie to educate themselves and gain better awareness about gynecological cancer. I left the movie feeling motivated and empowered to take charge of my own health and promote awareness for others.”
— Dana Wine, Mt. Pleasant, SC
“This film is moving, inspiring, educational and a must see for every family in America and around the world. Like one of the ladies in the film says, “if only I would have had this information a year ago.” Please don’t put off one hour of your day, because one hour could make a lifetime of difference.”
— Kevin Cutter, Roseville, MI
“They are true rock stars— and the music they play is only a small fraction of the reason why. Go see NED... you will be inspired.”
— Chrissie Landolfi, Columbus, OH
